Sick of Crooked, Crowded or Unattractive Teeth? Transform Your Smile Today!
If you are unhappy with your smile. If you cover your mouth in photos. If you feel self-conscious when you open your mouth, then we may have the answer for you!Straightening your teeth with Invisalign® treatment is a convenient and effective way to improve both appearance as well as oral health. Clear aligners allow you to eat, drink or brush without any difficulty when compared against traditional metal braces which can cause discomfort in some cases because of their wireframe structures.Aligners are custom made for each patient by a certified dental professional and can be used to treat a variety of orthodontic treatment issues including overbites, underbites, crossbites, and crowding.

Benefits of Invisalign® Clear Aligners

Because Invisalign® treatment does not use metal, patients can wear them without worrying about developing mouth abrasions. You won’t need to see the dentist as frequently as you would with alternative options because this system also requires less adjustments. Another advantage is that patients can inspect their treatment plan to see how their teeth may appear after successful completion of treatment.

With Invisalign® treatment, you can get the benefits of traditional braces without their aesthetics. One of the greatest benefits to using Invisalign® treatment over traditional metal braces is how invisible they are. This advanced form of teeth straightening gives you the benefits of traditional braces without a mouth full of metal. Invisalign® treatment does the work without anyone even noticing you’re wearing a corrective device.

Furthermore, Invisalign® aligners can be removed at any time during orthodontic treatment, you can eat whatever you want, maintain good oral hygiene, and choose to remove them briefly for special occasions such as weddings or big meetings. Your lifestyle remains intact with Invisalign invisible aligners.

How Does Orthodontic Invisalign® Treatment Work?

Invisalign® clear aligners are an exciting advancement in technology to straighten teeth. Your custom-fit aligners are made using advanced computerized designs to ensure that they fit your mouth perfectly and are comfortable when worn, making them ideal for long term wearings by patients who need minor changes every week or so. You will be seen at our office every few weeks while receiving this treatment; we take pride in ensuring everything goes smoothly.

Invisalign® treatment is a great option for people who want to straighten their teeth without the discomfort of traditional braces. You’ll need to wear your aligners as often and continuously as possible throughout each day (minimum of 22 hours per day), removing them only when eating or brushing/flossing; however the best part is you can maintain an active lifestyle while undergoing this entire process.

It is important to clean your aligners regularly. If you don’t, they may cause stains or graying of the teeth.

Planning and Customization

Based on 3D scans and impressions of your teeth, a customised treatment plan will be developed for you. It will address any bite problems and involve the movements of your teeth required to get a gorgeously aligned smile. After that, Invisalign® will make your set of unique aligners.

Aftercare and Home Treatment

When they are finished being produced, you will then receive your personalised aligners. Every aligner is a little bit different from the one before it and is made to gradually move your teeth into the proper position over time. Depending on the specifics of your treatment plan, you will change the aligners on your own at home about every two weeks. The normal duration of this process is between 12 and 18 months, while actual treatment time varies based on a number of factors.

Is It Too Late for Invisalign®?

Since you can remember, you may have considered getting your teeth straightened. Perhaps your dentist just gave you the go-ahead, or perhaps you just learned that it’s essential for maintaining your oral health.

Whatever your circumstance, waiting to begin teeth straightening will only result in months or years more of dissatisfaction and insecurity regarding your smile. In addition, teeth that are not in proper alignment are more likely to experience damage, decay, and other health issues. Your future is an investment, so make an investment in your dental alignment.

The most important thing to keep in mind is that teeth continue to move; even if you don’t notice any problems right away, chances are high that you will in the future.

It’s important to begin your treatment as soon as possible since the longer it takes for your teeth to straighten, the more movement they need. Before teeth become significantly misaligned, straightening them is simpler, quicker, and less expensive.

Concerned about the potential expense of your treatment? You won’t have to break the bank to have Invisalign® treatment in Erin Mills. At Onyx Dental, we believe that everyone should have access to the dental care they require; as a result, we offer Lend Care which is a financing lender company that provides loans to patients that may benefit from it. Other financing options we provide include payment plans.

How is Invisalign® Different From Traditional Braces?

People sometimes refer to metal braces when they talk about traditional braces. The most common type of braces for tooth alignment, gap closure, and misalignment correction has been metal braces for many years. Metal braces have the disadvantages of being visible from a distance and of maybe carrying some social stigma. They also feel heavy in your mouth, which forces you to think about them frequently throughout the day.

Despite the fact that today’s braces are flatter and smaller than older models, these braces are still not as popular as other options due to their aesthetics.

With Invisalign®, patients receive a series of transparent aligners that are made specifically for their mouths and teeth. Because these aligners are removable, a patient need not wear them for a crucial meeting or big night out. Additionally, the removability allows users to continue regularly brushing and flossing while enjoying indulging in their favourite meals and beverages.

You will have small tooth-coloured buttons placed on some of your teeth. These buttons are called attachments and allow for the clear aligners to have something to grip onto and help move your teeth in the way they need to.

Frequently Asked Questions

Invisalign® aligners are made of a clear, medical grade plastic that is molded to fit the patient’s teeth.

We recommend all patients wear their Invisalign® aligners anytime they are not eating, drinking, brushing their teeth, and/or flossing. This means that patients are expected to wear their aligners for a minimum of 22 hours a day!

You will change your trays every 10-14 days depending on your treatment plan and progress. It is important that when you switch to your new trays to keep the pair from the previous session in case you damage or lose your current trays. This way you can go back to wearing your previous trays and we can order your new tray for you.

NO! Please do not eat or drink with Invisalign® aligners unless you are drinking water. Debris and food particles can clog your aligners and increase your risk of cavities

This depends on the patient, the complexity of their particular case, and whether or not the patient wears their aligners when they are supposed to. To get a more accurate estimate, talk with your dentist about your unique timeline!
