We Can Restore Your Problem Tooth
If you have a tooth that’s damaged, chipped or cracked then it sounds like a dental crown may be the right solution for you. A dental crown provides support where there’s none left on either side due to damage done by cavity-causing bacteria – this helps give back confidence while also restoring your smile with perfection once again.

What Is a Dental Crown?
A dental crown is made up of highly durable material and is a “cap” shaped like a tooth that fits snugly over a damaged tooth to restore its structure, function, and appearance. In just two visits to our office, we can restore your tooth back to its former self. The material used in these caps is typically made out of porcelain which provides excellent durability against daily wear and it closely resembles the enamel of your teeth, which makes it a perfect option for somebody looking to restore their tooth back to perfection. Our restorative dentistry clinic can help you with all of your dental crown needs.

How Do I Get a Dental Crown?
The crown preparation is completed in two steps, first step being the crown preparation and then your crown insertion appointment. Once we have deemed you suitable for a crown you will be seen for your crown preparation appointment. Depending on the extent of preparation and state of tooth you may need local anesthetic to numb the area. During the crow preparation stage your tooth will be prepared to allow for enough space for the crown to sit around your tooth. With the help of our iTero Scanner, a digital scan of the prepped tooth will be submitted to the dental lab . Dental lab technicians will then create your crown customized to sit perfectly over your original tooth. With most of our patients, we place temporary crowns on their teeth that allow you to function and maintain aesthetics until your permanent crown is ready. Once your crown is ready you will be brought in for your crown insertion appointment. Most patients do not require local anesthetic for this appointment but can be given it to ensure patient comfort. In a manner of minutes your temporary crown will be removed, tooth cleaned and your new crown will be cemented in place.
How Long Do Dental Crowns Last?
With proper care, your dental crown can last upto 15 + years. Make sure to brush and floss daily and attend checkups with us at least twice a year for preventative measures against tooth decay. If you grind teeth or play sports then ask about creating a custom mouth guard that protects your smile!
